What successful bloggers do differently?
This is one question that has intrigued me for several years – and i can summarize what i have learned in Two words – Expertise and Constancy. Well, almost!
Blogging can be a fast and interesting means to earn a living and to get your opinions viewed by a lot of people online. Irrespective of the reason you start blogging, a major concern is how to make your blog a winner. Today, i am talking about a few points i learnt from some of the most successful bloggers on the internet.
Write about what you know the best
Think of yourself when you go online and search for some information. What content will you like to read most? And also, if you find a good source of quality information – you will go to that source again and again – directly.
Now, you are not different from your readers. Your readers are going to follow the same concept. So start writing about something you know, something that you have an expertise on. Having expertise in a niche makes blogging about it simple and stress free. You don’t have to look for topics – you just write about problems or solutions you face everyday.
Think Money and Link it with your Blog
How you are going to make money from the blogging opportunities?
Of course, we all need money, I have yet to meet someone who will speak to the contrary. Nothing can match a good money making opportunity from something we have an expertise on. It kind of flares up our interest.
Many new bloggers have asked me how they can make money from blogging. For starting, revenue may come through Google Adsense, Affiliate Programs or other form of advertising. The biggest source of revenue can be selling your own products. Each method has its own pros and cons and it may take a while to understand these. The best you can do is to learn from others’ experience. It may save a lot of time to get started being profitable.
One such course i like is yaro’s, where he teaches about the success factors of blogging. Looking at the quality content, i believe it comes pretty economical – a very good value for money.
Constantly update your Blog
Constancy – once your readers find that you are a good source of information in a niche, they will get aligned to you. But to make them keep visiting your blog again and again you need to write constantly.
I have seen a lot of blogs start every day, and vanish into the thin air in some time coz of lack of content or lost interest. So updating your blog with useful content is a significant step to increase your readers’ loyalty to your blog. Not only this, it will also increase your revenue eventually.
Get your readers’ interest and respect
You need to understand what your readers are actually looking for in your niche. You may interact with them, and communicate about their interests. And you need to constantly bring in more content to suit their interests.
You will find that a lot of the successful bloggers on the internet these days are those who supply useful information to their readers. While it’s sometimes interesting to read one’s blog about their life story or past experiences, but too much of it may be bad for gaining your readers’ interest – Unless of course you are a celebrity.
