The new Quest – Why Should I blog?
I admit, I am a new Blogger. So, were all of us – at one point in time.
Blogging has fascinated me for over 4 years now. There was a point when I was looking for a technology platform for a pet project of mine, and I found Wordpress. Voilla! It was an exciting day of my life.
After putting the site up, and helping my clients put their 15-some websites on Wordpress, I am an expert in Wordpress.
But I am not a Blogger yet.
I believe being a Blogger is different, it is not about knowing something – it is about expressing yourself, sharing your knowledge such that it enriches your readers world. Different people do it for different reasons.
Some of us money minded blokes want to earn some money from it too. Otherwise, Why would we blog? Right?
This is what every knows today – Write blogs with catchy headlines, stuff in a lot of words, put affiliates links in the right place, and pass on your readers to what you want to sell.
At more than 100 millions posts per month, it feels like being in a sea of chaos, getting ready to explode. Such huge information is actually “watering” everything down. Everybody is shouting at top of their lungs wanting to be heard, which is quite difficult since users have an extremely short attention span; with back and forward buttons available they navigate away in a flash.
So similar to more famous Quest “Who am I?” follows the New Age Quest – “Why Should I really Blog?”
I believe – being a Blogger needs a Strategy - a Laser Focus. Like every Human Being, every blogger needs to get the answer.
The focus of my blog is to – Help Bloggers Blog Better. To help them clear their Blog Strategies.
So, What topics should i Choose to Blog?
I am 30 something, with few greyed out hair, than what is considered an Expert. I know it is a long way to go – I am not an expert Blogger yet. So, What useful things can I tell to my readers.
First of all, i can write on analyzing some Good Blogs and why i think they are good.
I can also write on the Blog Design Aspects, that i have observed in my span. Each blog can have its own personality – just like the Blogger it belongs to. Some aspects of these personalities make your readers stick to reading you forever, while others can make your readers run away from you fast.
And of course, i can also Blog about my own Evolution as a Blogger – how I am able to define and gain success – as a Blogger.
